Royal day out

We try to go the Royal Welsh most years, but this year we were extra keen, as we wanted to take along our baby boy to experience it for the first time. Not that he is going to remember much being that he’s 4 months old. Anyway more of an excuse for the parents to go I think.

Its a wonderful place to go, me and my wife are probably guilty of not paying to much attention to specific activities and exhibitors, as we enjoy walking around and soaking up the atmosphere, and people watching. There are certainly some characters to be seen there.

As always my camera is at hand, and the difficulty is not to get too absorbed in just making pictures at the detriment to having a family day out. So here are a few images from the day, click on the image to go to the gallery.

Well not technically true. These photographs were taken back in Freezing February. My dear wife and her friends wanted some photographs together with the Bump. So we took a casual stroll down to the park and once suitably freezing we congregated at our house for tea and cakes. I love cakes mmmm. Anyway here’s a few pictures from the day.

John Lewis Cardiff

Have recently completed a commission to photograph John Lewis building in Cardiff and the National Pool in Cardiff for a local company Auxilium who were integral in producing the drawings and 3D models used to construct the building. The brief was to show the buildings in a more dynamic nature than had previously been captured by the contractor.

The nimble limbs are a bit of a project for me, I love their music and I get to hang out with the guys when they are practicing, it would be rude not to take some photographs ! Here’s a few from a practice session last week.

The Nimble what? I hear you say. They are the band of my very good friends Goff, Wayne, Reedy boy and Bailey. They have been together for some time now but but recently they have started to move up a gear in terms of writing there own music and getting out there and gigging.

I have been off the scene for a couple of years but this year I have finally managed to catch up with guys and see them gig a good few times.

The best thing tho is being able to help them out by getting some good images for them to use on their website & promo material.

Although I didn’t take these images recently I thought they would be worthy of a mention on the blog. Especially as the band have just been to the studio and recorded an EP. Go and check out their website and have a listen.
